TECHNIQUE
Works produced at Studio Osterrath testify to the skill of its artists to harmoniously integrate stained glass art into architecture and interior decor. Each project is treated uniquely in order to meet the architectural specificities
and stylistic characteristics of the site. Works are created for all types of sites: public buildings, places of worship and private residences.
Using varied and innovative techniques, Pierre and Marie-France apply both their research and experience whether the work involves stained glass, murals or sculpture or any combination of these.
Antique as well as slab glass are mainly used, being assembled or stacked in various ways. During the creative process, techniques and materials grows considerably:
leaded and copper foil glass, lamination and adhesion with epoxy cement, thermomolding, engraving, enamel, silkscreening, painting annealed glass, sanding, addition of profiled aluminium or stainless steel, serigraphic film...Everything is possible, limited only by the creativity and longevity of the work itself.
For example, it is also possible to insert stained glass inside thermo glass panels.
